The Gateway to Goddess in Avalon

“THE GODDESS is alive in Glastonbury, visible for all to see in the shapes of the sacred landscape. She is soft as the rounded hills of Her body and sweet as the apple blossom that grows in Her orchards. Here Her love enfolds us every day and Her voice is always near, carried on the wind, whispering through the mists of Avalon. Her Mysteries are as deep as the Cauldron She stirs, taking us down into Her depths and lifting us up to Her heights. She is our Source, our Inspiration and our Love.”

Remembering the Great Mother: Online Series

This Winter join us for a three-part online series where we will be diving into the mysteries of the Great Mother Goddess. She who is the source of all creation – the air, the fire, the water, and the earth we walk upon. In ancient times our ancestors were devoted to Goddess and they built many earth temples, wood and stone monuments to honour Her. Life was a sacred journey and these temples and spaces were powerful ceremonial places where they could feel her presence. We will learning about who she was to the ancient people and exploring some of the sacred sites where she was honoured.

Saturday 25 January 2025: Remembering the Great Mother– Part One

We will be journeying into the mysteries of the Great Mother Goddess and who she was to our ancestors. We know that the Great Mother was worshipped for thousands of years throughout the world, through the remains of beautiful Goddess statues, carvings, pottery and jewellery we have found. We will be looking at images of statues, some dating back to the Paleolithic times, 40-5000 years ago! This afternoon will involve weaving together information, journey work, meditation, and ceremony.

Saturday 15 February: Sacred Stones of the Great Mother – Part Two

Ancient sacred sites where the Great Mother were worshipped have been found all over the world. These incredible megalithic structures are places of mysteries and were great ceremonial sites and places of initiation. Many of them were aligned to the sun and the moon and they were places where fertility and death practices took place. This afternoon will involve weaving together information, journey work, meditation, and ceremony.

Saturday 8 March: Death and Rebirth Temples of the Great Mother – Part Three

Death and Rebirth were powerful initiations that were honoured by the ancestors. We know this due to the many long barrows, chambered tombs, burial mounds and dolmens that we have found. These were places where the dead were celebrated through sacred burial rites. They were also a place of worship where people would come to remember them. Between 3800-3500BCE many was constructed and there were about 10,000 across Britain and Europe. This afternoon will involve weaving together information, journey work, meditation, and ceremony.
